Movies Under the Stars
Grab your lawnchair, a blanket, some snacks and your favourite people and make the most out of a Cobourg Summer with Movies Under the Stars. The 2026 season will bring you 5 free movies to enjoy on a big outdoor movie screen, a powerful projector and concert-quality sound.
This year, the movies will always start at dusk (about 8:30pm). It's a great way to end a great day in the sun or a fun activity to do to get the night started. You can grab dinner downtown Cobourg before the movie or grab a dessert while you debrief after the show.
There is no cost, no registration and no reason not to come!

Tragically Hip: A National Celebration | Saturday, August 22
Ten years ago, The Tragically Hip played their final show in Kingston, about an hour down the 401 from Cobourg, and an estimated one-third of Canadians tuned in to CBC's live broadcast that night. On Saturday, August 22, CBC is airing the full concert again, commercial-free. Experience Cobourg is hosting a local watch party outside on the big screen.
You are invited to arrive before the concert starts airing at 7 p.m., listen to some music and enjoy some of the last days of summer outside the Cobourg Marina. This event will be licensed, and food will be available for purchase.
Bring a chair, some friends and your best Canadian stories. The harbour is as good a place as any to watch a hometown band's send-off, one more time.
